Almost halfway in...
And my desk, overrun with balls.
Tee hee, balls. *is ten*

Eurgh.
I've been spending most of my time lately sleeping because it's easier than dealing with the toothaches and headaches I've had the past couple of days. (That, and brushing my teeth more in a day than I usually do in a week--I can has car during the day so I can see a dentist? Boo on having only one car for both my husband and myself.)
I shall try to be back Monday with your regularly scheduled ideas, images, and project progress reports. :)

Christmas Blankie.
I'm thinking of sending it to my little sister, who's gonna be across the pond at Oxford by Christmastime.
This is the first time I've successfully managed to do the ripple pattern, and while there are still mistakes, they're not as glaring as the mistakes on the practice pieces were. ;P
Project: Christmas Blankie
Supplies: Red, Green, and Off-White Lion Brand Hometown USA yarn.

It's gonna be warm...

But hopefully not too heavy, since it won't be nearly as large as the Tetris Blanket. :)

I'm rather proud of it. :)

Knifty Hat: Another One :)
Same Marble yarn as the Marble Beanie, but this time most of it is two-over-two instead of one-over one. I made a mistake towards the last...ten or fifteen rows, I think...and had to go one-over-one after that. It's another Big Hat like the Silly Hat, but I like it because the weather doesn't dictate whether or not I can wear a ponytail (because regular sized snow beanies are snug on me, especially when I have my hair up). If anyone else wants one, I have a variety of yarns (just check the Yarn Stash tag) and get back to me, and if it's not for another project I'll get started immediately. Otherwise, I'll get more of that yarn and start as soon as I get home. :)

And this is why double-check our measurements.
Crap.

Well, I'll certainly get it right next time. (If I'd done a T piece, I wouldn't have realized. Good thing I picked the shape I did to practice on.)
At least... :P

And this is why we make practice pieces.
I started out thinking to make Tetris toys, and then had the idea to make them little trinket boxes. I've since decided that I'm going to make both for the ol' Etsy shop, but anyhow, the original idea was to make everything out of squares so it'd look more Tetris-y:

Then I went for the cover, and I'd already started going over the top at the time, so instead of a flap I went for a box cover. So I couldn't just use squares:

I'm gonna finish this piece, but after this I think I'll use one special piece for each side. After all, the Tetris look will still be there...

(I don't see anyone else getting sued for making Tetris crafts, so I hope that continues. Still, I'll be doing some research.)
