Made with Lion Brand Vanna's Choice yarn.

Blue and White Ruffle Scarf

So soft. This one was made with pale blue Caron SimplySoft yarn and white baby yarn.

This scarf, and all the other ruffle scarves, are made this way:

chain 143. Start dc-ing on the 4th ch from hook. dc all the way down the line, [dc2, ch2, dc2] on the last loop and then dc down the other side. Cap the other end the same way and slip stitch to make the rectangle. Then double treble crochet three times in each dc all the way down, [dc2, ch2, dc2] in the corner, 1 dtc in each dc on the skinny side, then [dc2, ch2, dc2], then dtc 3 times in each dc all the way around, capping the same way at the other end and finishing off and tucking in the ends.

It's sooooft.

The finished product! It's soft and shiny (but not ZOMGSHINEE), and quite warm.

I finished this awhile ago, but I'm staggering the posts to share the fun.

Apologies for my absence this month. It's been kind of crazy.

I know...pink really isn't my thing, but I'm making it, and will only be wearing it when I model it.

NTAFund.org Project is a go!

I figure I'd do more good with $50 worth of yarn (though I've spent less than that so far) than if I just made a $50 donation, so I asked the NTAFund people what colors I should use and they recommended the red, green and blue of their website. So I went out and bought yarn. I have two sets each of these:




And I have this medium shade of red:


...and it is red, though the flash makes it look orangey. I couldn't find blue and green in the same intensity so I'm off to the Caron website in the hope that they make the right colors in Simply Soft.

Time to get to work! I'll make both ruffled and flat scarves. Since they're for a good cause the ruffled scarves will be $30 and the flat ones will be $15.
